Kevin Hilton, who worked at Bluejacket Brewing in D.C. before becoming brewer at the company, is responsible for marketing and marketing of craft beers in Georgia and Alabama, as well as brewing and brewing operations.
Fredando is proud to bring Albany back to its roots as an example of how Georgia's rural food system is community and local. We want to ensure that the universal farming community in Georgia is given the chance to flourish. Our Rural Initiatives Department of Georgia is closely connected to rural communities and businesses in our region and throughout the state. We create strong community organizations in the region that support small farmers and provide training and business development support, including the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation, Georgia Rural Business Association and Georgia Small Farmers Association. These organisations include local farmers, small business owners, farmers markets, agricultural cooperatives and farmers markets, as well as local businesses.
The Pretoria Fields Collective is developing its own farm for growing and processing hemp alongside heirloom grain, and their efforts have received a major boost. Currently, the Southwest Georgia Project is planning a regional food center in the city of Albany by building local food infrastructure. This is an opportunity to strengthen local government and promote economic development and growth in Albany.
Urban agriculture could also provide access to fresh food for residents who are having difficulty obtaining adequate, affordable, and culturally acceptable food in the county. The Southwest Georgia Project expects the food center to supply the surrounding counties by selling their products.
The brewery has kicked off its efforts by donating 150 hot meals to Daily Bread, a local community kitchen. It is also important to note that the aid was also donated to the medical community to support the South Georgia Food Center and the Southwest Georgia Project. The clever food fundraiser will take place on Saturday 26 August, with the food being prepared using ingredients from the Pretoria farm.
The recipe for Pretoria Fields was developed by Eric Kircher, who works at the South Georgia Food Center and the Southwest Georgia Project. Brewed in Albany, Georgia, in a state-of-the-art facility, the beer is of the highest quality. Located in the southern part of Georgia, south of Atlanta and north of Savannah, the county attracts a number of recreational and historical sites for visitors, including the Georgia State Capitol, a national historic site, as well as a number of historical and cultural sites.
